The video made me feel sad, angry and regretful from myself.. It's really painful when you remember that one day you tried to commit suicide and committed suicide and went through the experience of death and escaped from it, while there is someone like Claire in the same world who faces death and lives it over and over again and is still happy until his last breath!

I lost someone I cared about last year from CF. Jade was 29, and 1 of the most amazing people I've ever known 😢💔 You kinda remind me of her. Keep fighting CF Warriors. I wish you a long life and many blessings. Sending love and prayers to you. ❤🙏🫂☮️

This girl is so inspiring....facing death with courage and not dwelling on the bad but focussing on what time she had left to enjoy her life and help others. What a beautiful soul, an inspiration and a lovely human. At 64, I will try my best to live what time I have left to honour Claire's zest for life. Rest in peace and thank you for living a short but full life🙏🙏❤️❤️🌹

cystic fibrosis is genetic and has no cure. it effects mucus generation and destroys small pathways in your lungs. most dont live until 20 years old. slow and painful death. ive had two friends pass away from this, a brother and sister. sister died at 19 on hospice, while the older brother killed himself with an overdose. in an out of the hospital many, many times. the amount of money given to try to help these kids was raised and spent to no avail, the best help you can give them is a pain free existence until their time of demise.

The way that you described the body as art, and that it isn't meant to be beautiful all the time. Your mind works in such beautiful ways, Claire... I deeply view my imperfections as obstacles, you couldn't have described it better. Our body's are art, showing what we have been through, and a canvas... meant to make you think and feel... The body is amazing, no matter how beautiful, it is truly artistic. The durability and craftsmanship is inspiring. You have such a beautiful perspective on the topic, and I am sure so many agree with your message. Your scars, your experiences, they only make you more beautiful. How thoughtful of a way to give credence to the artistic interpretations of the body ❤

It's been a good minute since I've seen her videos pop up... It feels crazy to miss someone I've never met, but Claire was such a light, and her legacy still lives on.

I always took my life for granted now I’m not termanilly ill or anything like that but I have 3 chronic illnesses and 1 serious autoimmune disease . This year has been very difficult and I’m learning to find strength through my suffering .

What an incredible person she was. My best friend is fighting stage 4 breast cancer right now, and I've realized that all our conversations have been about cancer for months now. It just struck me that she is probably doing this with literally everyone right now. I called her the other day and instead of asking her how she feels, I asked her if she knew some random fact about a couple of politicians running for office right now. She laughed, and then cried a little and told me this the first time in months she's not been asked about how she's doing, cancer, any of that. I told her, ok, but really, did you know this random fact? If you have someone who has a terminal illness in your life, don't forget to remind them they are human. Same applies to homeless people. If you encounter a homeless person, don't forget they are human and need to be reminded of this. Don't tie up someone's identity with one part of their life.

I just found this video and it brought back so many memories and emotions from many directions. First, I worked as a nurse all my life. A few years on a pediatric unit taking care of CF kiddos. They were the best and at times, the most emotionally draining patients going from doing ok one moment to being critical the next. Second, growing up I had a lot of respiratory issues. I would get bronchitis 4-6 times a year. When I was 50, I was diagnosed with COPD even though I never smoked a single cigarette or anything else in my life. I was put on a CPAP machine when I was 26 and by the time I was 50, my breathing was bad enough I was changed to a BiPAP machine. Just seeing how excited Claire was to be getting a lung transplant, I was so happy for her. I had to stop the video for a few minutes after her surgery to dry my eyes 😢😢. God bless you Claire.

when you think how the people who made these documentaries and movies earned enough to help claire but didnt

I’m not sure how I even came across this in 2024, but I discovered Claire through her epic motivational speech at the Worldz Summit in 2017. I realized right then and there that she was a living legend! She may have passed, but she is still a living legend, and I’m pretty sure she just motivated me all over again!
